Anyone want to help me get this Ep on the road again???.....
I will take all volunteers from anywhere!!!.... Oh and I give the greatest reacharound EVAH!!!...
just sayin....
lol yeah had to add some stuff and take other stuff off. honestly since Dylan - i have no mod money... just diaper money now LOL
thank you nukkah!
bwaahahaa - alot.
hopefully my memory serves me ..
steering rack replacement
tie rod adjustment / alignment
find the mysterous misfire in all 4 cylinders
datalog to adjust A/F ratio craziness
new 02 sensor
new battery (she's been sitting dead for about 5 months now)
put new tires on rims
confirm overheating issue is fixed
headlight conversion harness install
replace broken taillight
i think thats it!
Doesn't sound too bad, o2 sensor, new plugs, check out the coil packs and new battery should take care of misfire problem. I have a compression tester but it may not reveal a leaky headgasket, if that was a problem, need a compressor and leakdown tester for that.

i hope its not the gasket, she's only got about 15K miles on it (new w/ swap)
i have melted coils before so i need to start checking there first.
LOL dont know but i did it before... not full on meltdown but the inside was reshaped to the plug impression.. so i am assuming at the time i had the wrong plugs or something. LOL
Ouch, if your o2 was bad and reading rich, it could lean out and get really hot, but you said it was over heating, what was the cause?
Also, if you got it hot enough to warp the coil packs like that, you may have warped the head...
the overheating was possibly a stuck t-stat. thats already been replaced but i havent driven her to see if it was resolved. i'm running rich due to my tune... i havent finished getting bruce to tweek it to the right ratio. it was running rich before the sensor went bad, i am thinking thats why it took a crap on me.
only 1 coilpack was deformed - i dont know if the new set has the same issue, i havent pulled them to see. hopefully not. at the time that one happened i had plugs i shouldnt have had in the car but i needed something when i first did the swap to get her home.. then just never changed them. since then i replace the plugs with the k20's when i replaced the coilpacks.
Im guessing the plug was the cause of the melting coil. Might of been the wrong heat range or gap. If its overheating a faulty thermostat could be the cause... But i would dig further before i drive it more than 10 miles.
yeah thats why she's been hard parking in front of my house. LOL
i need to datalog badly to get that a/f right - but i dont think thats the misfire issue. i dont know enough about the igition and spark process to figure it out. i am not a big electrical guru like some on here. lol
once i get another battery for her (mine might be fried) then i can start doing the elimination process again. its just so hard finding time and energy with a toddler running around.
