I've already missed two events due to the car being down. I've already signed up for the next event which is May 17th and 18th. I probably won't be able to do as many events this year as last due to budgetary constraints though. See down economy even hurts bill collectors

I never thought I'd say this about an engine, but the shot looking straight down, DAMN, thats pretty!
You should get a good look at the deck surface. Its almost polished its so smooth. Almost no machining marks on it.
thats about right, basically the block is slowly heated to w/e temp the shop sees fit and is baked at that temp for a bit and then slowly cooled. the cooling is controlled and the block is slowly and evenly cooled to ensure that there are no weak spots due to relative heat affected zones from the original casting process.
Well, the head, cams, timing chain, oil pump etc... all went on tonight. Hopefully it will be back in the car this weekend, and then I have a tuning appointment set for May 9 with Ed Senf at Balanced Performance Motorsports. Those of you that read Grassroots Motorsports may remember that Ed tunes all their Hondas for them.
