any idea what the trans noise is?

Well yes and no.

We changed back to a stock FD from the RSX-s final drive I was running so it almost has to be something related to that, but as to details no.

Thing is he did that before the motor was even here, so he wasn't rushed or anything, just went ahead and got it out of the way. Said it went together smooth as silk too, no problems or issues.

Thing is we have a spare tranny so thats not the issue. Its a 2007 Civic Si tranny so we'd have to swap the guts. But for that matter once he gets it out of the car he can have it rebuilt in a couple of hours (depending on parts). He just doesn't have time to get it done in time to get it to the dyno, and can't even work on it this weekend since its mothers day (he's a family man). Its not parts, its time and we've just run out of it.

It sucks. It especially sucks cause its costing me a track weekend that I was really looking forward too. Roebling is one of my favorite tracks in the southeast and this is the only time NASA is running it this year Oh well, thats the way the ball bounces. I'm pretty confident we'll have it sorted out in short order, just not short enough order to make it to the track. I'll be sure to let ya'll know when I have another dyno day.

I actually may have it running while you are in town Kyle, don't know for sure yet though. Seems funny though that when you have come to town the last couple of times my car was tits up. I'm wondering if I should start banning you from Ga.

Well the transmission problem is not quite fixed yet, but we know what it was, and have the part ordered. Was swapping back to the stock EP final drive and the mechanic didn't notice that they use different countershaft bearings and used the wrong one. New bearing will get ordered tomorrow and go in Tuesday. I'll contact dyno shop and maybe we can get it on the dyno next week.

thanks man. Looks like it is. Scheduled to go on the dyno next Tuesday May 20. We'll see what happens then.
