pls repost d old jrsc belt sizes

there used to be a thread for belt sizes..but now obviously its gone. i just slapped on a '622' size belt for my old 4.0 pulley. but now i just installed a 3.8 sc pulley and a 2.5 idler pulley, i tried to tighten it up n i came to a point that the idler touches the compressor pulley already (took off the guard bolt). burned a lil bit of rubber..hehe! so yeah, i had to loosen it just enuf to hav a lil clearance. n now, i get those nasty belt squeaks again. anybody knows the size for a 3.8 sc / 2.5 idler set up? thanks in advance

I used the same 62.2" belt when I swapped blower/idler pulleys, and still have 1/4" left on the tensioner bolt... How old is your belt? It might be stretched out a fair amount.

thanks! it's brand new, bought it from 02ep3si. goodyear gatorback. but mine's different. i even had to take off the bolt at the bottom of the tensioner so it could lower down some more. i wonder why.

Yeah dayco belts are the brand you want to steer clear of. I was under the impression that along with the 2.5" idler pulley from the RSX, you will be able to run the 3.8" pulley and the 62.2" belt.

Here is the part# for the 7 rib 62.2" gatorback 4070622. This is the metric part # listed 7PK1580 (not sure what that means though, hahah)

thanks, that's d one i got. 2.5" rsx pulley, 3.8" pulley boys pulley, n 4070622 gatorback. yeah, i came to a point that the idler/compressor pulley were touching. when i loosened it a bit, i can feel the tension was not enuf when i press it with my fingers. i just thought there was something shorter than the 4070622 belt.

Goodyear does make shorter belts. The last 3 digits in the part number are the belt length - 4070622 is a 62.2" belt. If you can figure out what size you need, look for a belt part # with the closest last 3 digits.

Well the only problem is that you will not find a 7 rib belt anywhere near the size you need. The next size smaller for the 7 rib is like 55 inches. If you want you can grab a 6 rib belt, which should work fine, there is a lot larger selection in lengths with the 6 rib. Just google goodyear gatorback.
