^ there was one before the dark times.
i know the one that was there made it look simple n with parts #'s and all
I did the same and love it! part # is most likely:
G326011
but these #'s were on it also:
2995MK 01 40N 264/05 B 15
I got mine at pep boys for like $15,only thing is you need the ball pivot mount that wont be with this strut. I just looked through others that had it and opened both and after "comparing" them I put them back in the "right" packaging then paid and
don't be a dumbass disclosure
Yep only one, holds up great (with a CF hood) it goes all the way to it's vertical position or I can open it like halfway(balancing act).people were using 2 on stock hoods to be safer but you have to cut a piece of the cowl on the driver side (plastic vented area at winshield). when closing it the strut is fine, my cf hood has always sucked to close for some reason (possibly spring too stiff on latch, dunno) and here is how it sits closed (good) IMO
thanks, looks great. any idea where you got the bracket for the hood or did you make it.
went to parts store today and they said those part numbers are no good. anyone with some help on part numbers?
sorry about that, no the bracket was on it but the ball pivot that mounts by the headlight, was with a different strut, I think(not sure) the strut's for like an isuzu lift glass or something.
iight iight i got you guys i had the orig post the strut i used was for a honda passport rear lift glass it came wit the ball and the hinge total cost 27 bucks hit up my myspace at www.myspace.com/300magnum and go to the pics album for hood strut mod i will post the pep boys p/n tomm.
i rememeber an old post about a DIY hood dmaper. I have been looking for it every around my area. I think it was a Sachs Stabilus, SG326011, but none of the auto stores here carry them. i will check for the item # you posted..
Anyone know how well this works with a CF hood?
