I like 04-05 lip better than the 02-03.

unless you're gonna get mugen, than I like the 02-03 lip better.

I like the Mugen lip IF you get the other stuff too (sports grille kit and rad duct kit) other than that the CTR lip looks real nice with a pair of fogs in it. Either way you can't go wrong. Whichever lip you choose it will go nicely with the rest of the CTR kit if you go that route.

when it comes to the 04/05, mugen looks much better, more aggressive and as for the design i think its better, the 04/05 type r lip doesnt make sense to me design wise...

Im with you jerry... look guys Ive had both and honestly, unless you are FULL ctr the Mugen lip doesnt look good on the EP, Its a huge lip with a very aggressive look, not to mention that if you are dropped more than 1.5" you will hit that bitch on everything. FRP+curbs/parking blocks=FTL. the CTR lip makes a huge difference in the way that the front bumper looks too, you have to remember most all 04-05 bumpers have pre cut holes for the fogs so without the lip and fogs you have two gapping holes in the bumper... CTR FTW
