hey guys well after the comments that i got from the turbo hehhehe I just wanted to know to the people in houston tx is that about how much does it cost to get the k20a swap. i know the motor is around 5,000-6,000. BUt how much does they charge to do the job.
the reason is i guess by July ima do the swap and i just wanted to get some info
THanks!!
yeah. youre pretty much paying for a better designed a2. when it comes to $/hp $/tq it doesnt really crunch the numbers.
go a2. or build a frank motor!
mmm really?
so is cheaper if i put a 24a2 and about how much $$$ would i waste with a 24a2
Thanks
what about a k20a2?
which one would yall recommend
a k20a2 or a K24A2
and well also what would be the price diferece
k24a2!!! OR, you can get a k24a1 block for like lets say MAX 500$ then get a k20a2 head for i think they go for like 1000$, but since the block is open, might as well change the pistons, get some nice high compression pistons, change the rod, get the crank balanced and such. Take a look at Kon's build he has. He has like 250hp with just under 200 tq. this is all NA. All said and done with all the above stuff will get you the price for a k20a. but with a k20a you have the 6 spd with LSD.
but then again you dont have to build it up. Just doing a k24a1 with a k20a2 head will be just fine. youll have lots of low end tq with his power up top too. best setup you can do. IMO
5000-6000 will get u a new k20a with no tranny. for 2000 u can get a used k24a2. I would just use ur ep tranny and get a k24a2 and call it a day. you'll need the crv passenger side mount as well....talk to papi, he knows engines and can get them....a k24a2 might be a bit more pricey from him than if u source your own but u will get all sensors with an engine from papi. k20a2 and k20a are just too popular now so the prices are sky high, jump on a k24a2 asap as the prices on those are gonna go up soon....
allright thanks guys for the tips
so who can i talk to that is from houston that can help me with this
thanks!
