Im trying to convince dobbs02si into letting go of one of his k24a4's.
The questions i've got are, can I run it with the a3 ecu?
i need to buy a new motor mount
What is really needed to make a k24a4 work?
Im poor so.. yea

i searched but I guess i didnt put in a very good query
Its all good. I've done it too. What is funny though is the name of your thread closely resembles mine and my thread was still on the first page on the swap section and in the stickies.lol. I'm only fucking with you man. If you have any questions after that or need any other kind of help pm me and I'll do what I can for you
i suppose i went to the search and when i didnt find what i wanted i just went straight to post without bothering to see whats on the page.
no matter, all i know now is that I wont be swappin a k24 in, aint got the money for the mount and the race header.
And apparantly the a4 is kinda sucky.
isnt the front sway kinda good though?
The key is that you also want to run a beefy rear sway to make it work.
Though the TS of that thread later said that it would be better to get an em2 sway as opposed to running none bc of the way the car handled at higher speeds.
The a4 is a great swap if all your looking for is a torquey 2.4 to replace the aenemic a3... OR if you plan on building bc you wont be paying an arm and a leg for a block when youre going to throw out all the internatls anyways.
Its cheap, but it will require Kpro to run properly even in stock form. For 1000-1300 you can get an k24a1 which will run on stock ECU w/ 310 injectors. 600- 800 + 700-900 for Kpro on the a4 isnt as appealing.

kpro required, or just an additional part?
do you think the K24Z1 (stock 2007-2008 CRV) can still use our stock ECU?
Before the crash there was a member who posted about trying to run an a1 off of a stock a4 cal on Kpro. It created crazy knocks and lagged terribly.
Since the a1 couldnt run off the a4 calibration, it would reason to venture that you couldnt run a a4 off an a1 or k20a3 map either. At least not as cleanly as you could with an a1.
EDIT: there are some members of k20a.org who are successfully doing it, but they report that their car is running really lean and knocking. So it can be done, just not as efficiently as it is on the k24a1. I guess the reason why is the different port sizes and how it affects A/F.
