DIY: Mac-mini Carputer

I like this a lot, I love the Mac Mini, but I would be too afraid of theft to leave a computer in my car.

Why would you want to run Windows on your Mac? Mac OS X FTW. Only reason I can think of to run Windows is because Hondata only works on Windows and that way you can use your Mac Mini to control your Hondata.

Did I miss this detail somewhere. Is this setup touch screen or do you have to use a mouse? And where do you put the mouse and the keyboard?

That's pretty much the only reason I would use Windows on this. And yes, there is a touch screen. It's a pretty sweet DIY, I'd like to try it in my own car someday.

mp3car.com is a great resource for CarPuters, I have mulled it over a zillion times, pulling in the garage and hitting my music machine and downloading anything I want, new CD's ALWAYS go on that machine distribution becomes a snap, iPod free! But atlas I did not and probably won't in the EP due to space constraints :(

Hondata seriously needs software for Apple users who don't like to run Windows on their computers. Please Hondata, please. In the meantime we have to do this.

Awesome DYI.. I wonder if you can use a pre-Intel power pc 12 inch notebook.

I have one sitting around that I don't use, and would love to put it to use, although I probably wouldn't tackle a project like this for another year, once my EP3 is up to standards to deserve a carputer.
