isn't the HFP sideskirt basically a type r side skirt without the type r decal?

The HFP sidekirts come up a little higher by the front wheelwell.

HFP sideskirts are more bulky than typeR sideskirts.
in addition, the front part of HFP sideskirts are taller than that of typeR.

I've been thinking about going HFP myself. JDM kit keeps getting more expensive, harder to justify and harder to find.

I know the rear lip would look fine with JDM skirts; but I'm not sure about the front.

There is a slight curve on the HFP lip side profile and I'm not sure if it would blend into the lines of the JDM skirt. Would be interesting to see a good side shot of this setup.

I never liked the HFP skirts...they are too wavy and look of poor quality.

You can see the waves in the picture. JDM skirts look fluid and well designed.

I also hate the way they go so far up the side of the fender. Just looks kind of strange...

    To each his own though.

I agree. I've also always been a fan of the JDM sideskirts or OEM 04/05s over the HFP ones. The JDM ones flow with the lines of the body much better.

Alright...so I was really curious about what this might look like...I dug up a picture of the HFP kit and photoshopped the front lip onto a picture of my car with JDM skirts.

Doesn't look too bad; but the lines on the skirt don't really match with the HFP kit. At first glance it's not really noticible but the JDM skirts are more round, where the HFP kit has a more 'sharp' and 'bulky' look. The JDM skirts also end up between the top and above the crease of the HFP lip.

This is a rough chop since I just wanted an idea of how things would look and in reality the bottom of the HFP front lip would probably end up meeting with the bottom of the skirt. Even considering this the JDM skirts probably would still fall within that mid-point.

Personally the best choice for the HFP kit are the 04-05 skirts. They would probably end up meeting with the lower crease of the HFP bumper. The HFP skirts are just too poorly designed and the lines don't really work with the car; but they do line up with both of the lips.

Hey could you chop on the HFP rear lip? I'm thinking of keeping the USDM rear bumper and adding an HFP lip, then getting JDM sides 04/05 JDM front bumper w/Mugen lip. I kinda want to see the how the HFP rear and JDM sides will line up.

    Thanks,
