Blowers are the same unit, RSX or EP.
    RSX-S crank pulley ~ 4.4"
    EP crank pulley ~ 4.7"
Smaller the crank pulley, the slower the belt, the smaller pulley on the SC needed to make the same power.

To make the RSX unit fit, you'll need to cut the radiator support a little. It does not need to be cut up a bunch as previously thought but some nonetheless.

Find a step by step of the whole process including pictures below (reposted from K20A.org - http://www.k20a.org/forum/showthread.php?t=9670 )
Note that this install was done on a Civic Type R so that is why the smaller pulley is used.

Finally the Jackson Racing RSX-S Race -kit arrived (without k-pro since I've already got one):

Installation hardware, most of which will not be used since I have neither A/C nor hydraulic power steering :p

Supercharger assembly was nicely packed in foam

    Pulley Boys 3.2" pulley

RSX-S AEM CAI (bigger bore than the SI kit).. this is used to replace the AEM V2

I took all of the tools I own and headed to the garage

    Old AEM V2 intake removed

Disconnected all of the TB connectors and labeled them

Some of the tools that are needed, notice the Facom Ferrari ratchet set :)

    Working all nights...

I plugged the coolant lines with some bolts

    Removed throttle body

Removed throttle body - Another shot

Removed throttle body - Yet another shot

This is where the TB used to be mounted

Disconnected fuel injector harness from the injectors and fuel rail

Removed bolt to get the fuel injector harness free from the intake manifold

Fuel line carefully removed in order to prevent the green clip from breaking

Removing intake manifold studs using the infamous double-nutter technique :)

    Almost there...

Thank goodness I bought lot's of extensions and joints to get all of the IM bolts open

Intake manifold removed, almost time to start installing new parts

After a whole lot of banging, cursing and some sawing, the supercharger was dropped in and bolted to the engine

Closer shot of the mandatory tool needed to make a RSX-S JRSC fit into EP3 :)

Installed the new pulley and belt, but...

Uh Oh, the 50.5" belt I had bought based purely on a guess was a tad too long :o

Next job, installing the bracket under the SC.. no pictures of that procedure though since it's not really suitable for public viewing due to massive amounts of curses needed

New injector clips were soldered for the RC 550cc's

Ah, so nicely soldered and shrink-wrapped.. looks all OEM :)

All clips done, just put this picture here because I liked the colors :)

RC 550cc injectors were installed into the rail and then plugged into the manifold

Injectors just aching to spray some fuel into the engine

Reconnected throttle body and all of the electricals, MAP spacer, new vacuum hose, PCV hose, power brake hose etc.

Connected injector harness and clips into the injectors

TB bolted, next job is the AEM RSX-S CAI

Angle grinder needed for installing the RSX-S AEM cold air intake. Notice the removed finger protection due to me buying too big cutting wheels :o

Modified CAI fits now. Needed to make room for it, drill and tap a hole for the support bracket and also shorten the CAI a little bit

A tiny piece was cut out of the shifter weight to make more room for the CAI. People running these things in stock intake manifolds have much more room here.. I guess the JRSC moves the TB somewhat

Closer shot of the new found space :)

This is how the filter sits inside wheel arch. Needed to shorten the CAI and drill and tap a hole for the support rubber

    Closer look of the bracket

Install almost complete, shorter belt needed and Denso IK24 spark plugs need to be installed

Hope you enjoyed the pictures.. I sure as hell did not enjoy installing this beast :silly:

You also need a NON RSX PS tensioner. So another $100 or so on top of the JRSC price.

    Or make an auto tensioner.

Is this auto-tensioner possible on a a3 jrsc? Would love to stop messing with a tensioner bolt. Much like the comptech tensioner design?

Joe McCarthy originally did it on his K20a Lotus Elise. A few others were made afterwards based on his. None were commercial. There is/was a group buy going for awhile on another forum price was $250 for the bracket, plate, and supposedly modifications done to the EPS tensioner. Dunno.........

........all I know is I have one sitting on my desk at my house used on a JRSC up to 15psi with E85.

I have a plan that will hopefully require little to no cutting/fabricating/changes to the JRSC idler assembly.
Could turn out worthless but i'll post it up when I have something concrete.

You still wanna hang out in Skanateles? I'll bring the tensioner and plate with me for the meetup.

Yes, definitely. Do you know if that plate and tensioner works with the EP JRSC fit in present form? Since it was designed for the RSX JRSC, wasn't sure if the orientation of the charger made a difference with fitment.
