    biggest tire on HFP 17s?????!!!????

ive got the HFP 17 inchers and i need some new tires. I'm unhappy with the harshness on bumps and i wanted to get some 205/55/16 like stock and remove the front sway bar or something, but i dont have the money to blow on wheels and tires right now.

so basically whats the thickest sidewall i can fit Without changes in functionality. i dont want any rubbing when i make a U turn etc.

    P.S.
    ive got 215/45/17
    1" HFP drop

    its not the sway bar.

if you get a thicker sidewall, it will throw your speedometer off by XX% depending on the tire specs. 225/45/17 or 235/40/17 fit.

I agree. Get the 225/45/17 if you don't mind a little rub.

i've seen a couple hatchers running 215/50/17s and it looked really good. Bit more tire to help cushion out the ride

225/45/17 up front and 215/45/17 in the rear is my current set up. Depends how low in the rear you are and how much negative camber you have in the back.

Having different size tires front and rear, will affect how the ABS works.

Just run 225-45-17's. That is what I am riding on.

215-45-17, so the 225's will gain you some more contact patch, thusly a higher sidewall than the 215's as well. Better ride IMHO.
