i dont see why it wouldnt pass smog? it was designed to pass smog unlike the k20a.

as far as mileage goes, k24 in the tsx gets 19/28 mpg and the tsx weighs ~3200lbs. ep weighs ~2800lbs, so i would assume the mileage would be a tad better?

yeah the k24a2 would pass everything, but like someone said the k24a1 is not a legal swap in cali unless its going in a small truck or suv.

Who's gonna know? Unless they check the stamp...I don't live in Cali so don't know how hardcore they get but I can't imagine them being that dickish.

the same rules apply to the k24's the same as they did for B-series engines. With the exception of the CRV motor since it is considered a light truck.

But pretty much as long as you retain all stock components (i.e. headers..although i hear you will need to get one that can clear the sway bar...just make sure it has a CARB number on it, intake manifold, wiring harness, USDM computer, all necessary sensors, etc.) you should be able to get it BAR'd. Then you get a nice sticker certifying you and when the cops pull you over and make you pop your hood you can just point and smile

I was kinda joking. I was running right at 300wtq, punching the gas and trying to change lanes was damn near impossible...cool but somewhat dangerous if you are not carefull. Tq steer can change lanes for you, litterally if you don't a atleat one hand FIRMLY on the wheel.
