    ? for those of you who had your calipers powder coated

    Did you take them apart or leave them together (Ie pull the seals out), did you have any problems if you left the seals in there?

    id strongly advise pulling the rubber out, the powder coating process would more than likely ruin them, though putting the rear seals back in can be a bitch, it took 2 people when i did it

    Will need to strip them all the way down.

    Powdercoat oven cures at ~400 deg. F. And they will be media/sand blast prepped for adhesion.

    Any particular way to get them apart or things I should know when reassembling them?

    Dissasembly: should be pretty straightforward except for the pucks, convention is to use compressed air. Can be done without it, but are gonna have to get creative.

    Reassembly: use new seals.

    ^ thanks, did it today easy as hell, found out one of the boots was torn anyways, I just took off the bolt where the line goes in and used a punch and rubber mallet to take out the piston itself.
