NJslvrtypes Customer Build- From Blown A3 to K24 *56K Warning*

Well to start this car came to me this week w/ a blown K20A3, 2 pieces of heat wrap behind the manifold, 2 loose manifold bolts, and ic piping preventing car from going in any forward gears so I immediately got to work.

Pulled the blown A3 out (notice the great wrapping!):




While swapping accessories to the K24A1 I found the connecting rod's exit route lol. Right behind the starter.






Tore down the K24A1:



New Pilot Bushing/Resurfaced A2 Flywheel/Comp Stage 4 Clutch:






All A3 Parts swapped to the K24A1:



Unfortunately the turbo needs to rebuilt so I'm held up waiting for Precision to finish it up.

i think is the tuning, but i dont know really what happened.

and 1320 did a piss poor job installing the whole thing and not enough heat wrap.

Yeah was def a piss poor job from tuning. The piston heated up, expanded and seized into the cylinder wall and the rod snapped by the piston ring.

why did the piston heat up? not enough oil?
