    Component Speakers

I'm looking to do my interior speakers(again) I currently have alpine type-s components in the front and I would like to get something better. I'm looking to spend about 130-150 on them. I was already looking at some Alpine type-r's on ebay, for about 130. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

btw i'm willing to upgrade my amp if necessary

i like my type-rs just had to take a bunch of tweeter out on the crossover or else the treble will make your ears bleed. I would get the 5 1/4 size its not worth the trouble for the 6 1/2's which i have.

Im rolln w/Infinity Kappas. Sweet sound but cannot be run off the head unit. Speakers run 2 ohm. If you have an Amp then No prob.

Infinity Kappa's are my choice, I ran them off the stock HU before I went with the Kappa Perfects and they sounded fine.

another vote for kappa perfects. they are a little bright but can be corrected. If not amplified the reference series is a great choice.

Most HUs are 4or 8 ohm. runnning the kappas would burn out the HU in time.

the kappas didnt go to 2 ohms until a couple years ago. they were originally designed as a 4 ohm speaker. I still remember the tiel color of the cone on the originals.

Im speaking of the Kappa 60.7 cs series, theyll sound fine on a stock head unit. I have since then upgraded to the Kappa Perfects with the Alpine HU Power pack. Sounds amazing!
