Exclamation My wheels have residue on them.

Does anyone know what this residue is on my rear wheels?

It looks like some kind of oil-colored liquid just dripped down on my wheels. Could it be brake fluid? After washing the car, they re-appear within 1-1/2 weeks.

My roommate has that same problem with his oem 18's on his gti. The stuff is impossible to scrub off with any kind of wheel cleaner. You might need to wetsand them.

Do you put tire shine on your tires? If so the tire shine might be getting on your wheels and the brake dust is sticking to that.
