shifting into second

I haven't really payed much attention to this before but I was just wondering if you guys feel that if you don't shift slowly into second, it kind of feels like a rough shift, kind of like it's grinding a little. No sound from the tranny, just like it's in the shifter linkage.

i feel that in 4th not 2nd

I find upshifting to third is a bit sticky as the OP describes, and likewise downshifitng to fourth. Otherwise the transmission is a very smooth shifter.
