    tommy, any reason why u kept redline at 6800 instead of bumping up to something closer to 7500?

    Jeff set it at 7200 i believe. with the mods i had the motor really did make any more power afterwards. whatever Jeff says i believe haha. to keep it safe he did that.

    oh cool, cause the dyno sheet stops at 6800 so i was just curious. and i didn't realize u went to evans (i'm dumb lol)

    awesome, this the exact same setup i'll be running! i <3 ephatch.
    i have my skunk2 stg 1 cams in my A3 for now...i'm saving up (sort of) for my a1. i need new tires first

    did you run your k24a1 with cams on the stock ECU (with upgraded fuel injectors)? if yes, did you notice any problems?
    are you using a type-s DCRH?
    do you have a 5speed or 6speed?


    edit: oh yeah, got any videos?:eyebrows::eyebrows: a clip of your speedometer pulling through a gear or two would very helpful

    got your pm. i will answer right now! you can run on stock ecu but you need the 310's. i have kpro so i could use stock 270's. I am using a ep3 specific dcrh with a custom 2 1/2 inch exhust. But the big thing is using the stock muffler. trust me im telling you to use it instead of lets say a hks or somthing. if i was boosted it might be different.
    I have a 5-speed, i do not have any vids but i can try to make one if i had a video camera lol. you would like it i think.

    lol, well simple thing is i took it off and my car woke up. and i mean in the lower rpm range. since im not boosted having a open muffler like that kills the tq. yea i might get a few extra ponys up top but im not at 7000 rpm all day long. ill trade a few ponys for some more tq numbers. and 162tq is great for just having the mods i have from what im told.

    after watching my video you can clearly see the stock muffler is not hindering anything. it infact helped me bigtime.

    hks is a great exhaust but not for what i need to do.

    HKS exhausts will cause the loss of alot of low and midrange power and be as loud as fukc! For the minimal gains in the topend, it just isnt worth the hassles.
    For a track only car this is fine, but for a DD/autoX it sucks big raw green donkey dugans.
