CEL No number?

I keep getting this CEL, but when I plug in KManager it shows up as:

"daughter board low battery when cranking" ?

What dose that mean? It goes away when I upload a new kal

i had the same cel when my battery crapped out. replace the battery and you should be fine.

makes sense, everytime it goes on, my car goes into limp mode. ugh.


what battery do you use now? optima? I have my HID and subs linked to my battery

go with a odyssey or braille. both cost less than a optima, weigh less than 15 lbs, and are stronger than the factory battery.

Not quite. A capacitor can help buffer very short, high-current draws on the battery, but it's still charging itself off the battery in between "thumps". It is not a long-term battery by itself.

Get a new battery and have the alternator checked.
