    Help me pic my offset + tire size combo

    Heres the deal on friday im ordering some white work emotions cai's (woot) anyways Im trying to avoid rubbing and messing with the camber while still filling out the wheel wheels as much as possible. Id like the option to eventually run a 225 as well. Im dropped a bit to the point where the rear control arms are just below breaking the 90 degree plane. So what im thinking right now is to go with 17x7 wrapped in 215/45/17. My offset options for this would be 47,42,32 according to Work's website. Other option would be to get 17x8's but i really cant see them fitting without rubbing and rolling the fenders which i have no desire to do that would have the same offset choices. What say the Hatch?.

    17x7 +42 (32 might work...) or 17x8 +(somewhere between 40-45)

    i assume you're dropped somewhere around 1.5"?

    1.5 sounds about right.

    you want to get the 17x7 +42 you shouldnt have any issues with 215/45/17 unless youre really really low.

    The 17x8 is not what will make you rub(unless you are absolutely tucked). What matters is the tire size and offset of the wheel. However imho 8" wheel is not needed on an EP and will only increase your rotational mass. My vote goes to 17x7 +42 with a 225/45/17 or 215/45/17 if you're worried about rubbing.

    1.5" drop you say.

    you could easily run 17x8 with a +40-42 offset with 225/45 with no rubbing. i run that with +42 offset with a 2" drop and rub only occasionaly. or if my car is packed with people which is almost never.

    yea go with the 17X7 +42 with 215/45, it will get close to filling out to the fender.

    The specs that I would truly like to have.

    17.0"X7.5" (Rear) & 17.0"X8.0" (Front);
    +40 Offset (Rear) & +35 Offset (Front);
    215/45 (Rear) & 235/40 (Front) Tires

    I personally would do 17x8 with a 42 offset. It'll give it a nice flush look to the car. I'm thinking about selling my Volk GT-7 for some Advans here soon. I'm going to do 17x8 +38offset I think

    would a 215 tire fit on a 8 inch wheel though and i would almost think that it would increase the rubbing potential. Im thinking that if i ran a 225 on that its going to rub.

    you would most likely go for 225 on 17x8. It'll depend on the if you want to get 225/35 or 225/40 or 225/45, It'll probably stretch the tires just enough where it might not rub. I'm on 18x7.5 +42 offset w/ 215/35 tires on H&R LE springs (2.25" drop) and it doesnt rub, I have a -1 camber all around.
