I may have it figured out.. these ebay BMW projectors kinda suck. I got them right but it took a while and I got REALLY drunk doing it meaning that... It took a while.

I'm so old skool I was singing, "Upside down, baby you turn me, inside out......"

Because if you have ever worked with a projector you know what I'm saying.

Now I'm thinking ebay flanges with a good projector mounted to the hole the horn magically covers...... Nice bolt hole thee and a place to drill for an anchor tab.

    Still cheap though.

Aiming will not be OEM :(

just ordered some bmw fogs for the winter time driving.. it gets dark way too early and I'm blind..

anyone got a link to a nice inexpensive set of HIDs for them? Thanks.. I've found a few under $50 but no review = no buy..

DDM offers the apexcone kit for $46 shipped (at least that was the price when i ordered em a year ago )
    decent HIDs for the price

    *edit:
$35 for slim kit + shipping

thanks shadow.. i recall ordering a hid kit from them as well for my Honda Element.. the 55w kit works great...

did u get 55w or 35w for the fogs?

edit too lol: just read "Our 55w HID Kit is not recommended for smaller fog light housings because they tend to concentrate a large amount of heat in a small area. "

I have the DDM's in mine no complaints. The 55W will run too hot fo-sho.

Nice.. yeah, i ended up getting the 35W kit...

where'd u mount the ballast? the DDM kit doesn't have a hole to mount the ballast on the car so i tucked it in the rebars and ziptied it.. lol.. heavy duty zip tie.. works ghetto wonders...

how'd u mount the HID bulbs on since the stock mounting bulb cover on the projector doesn't extend long enough to cover the HIDs? I had to put a hole (red section below) in the cover... so now the end of the HID sticks out... covered up the hole with blacktape...

anyways... here's the bad shots i just took... i didnt get the chance to adjust the beam alignment but oooweee... my concern was i wouldnt get it done by tonight... alignment is another day's project... HID fogs work 5x better than stocks...

As for the switch situation, I have the OEM fog switch so the fogs only turns on when the headlights are on... basically eliminating the on/off blinking HIDs issue... eventually, i'll work wiring the fogs so they're standalone but still debating if i'll ever use the fogs without the low beams... hmm......

btw, if u dont have a dremel and is not creative, dont even think about doing this mod... I had to West Coast Customs this thang... lol
