    type r carpet

    i have a chance to get type r carpet in my car but how hard would it be to put it in?

    It would be time intensive but its ok...

    Here in germany,i removed one carpet from an totalled 03 EP2.

    You will have to :

    -remove front seats ( if you had side srs, dont switch on ignition, until you are ready with replacing the carpet -otherwise srs lamp will turn on...)

    -remove console (starting at parking brake, cauction: there will some 2 fuckin screws near the ash trash)

    -remove drivers and passengers side coverage (start at dash), you have to undo the screws of belt fixation for removing the panel...

    Normally when Ep wass build they put carpet in before the dash came in...so you will have have to do some cut in the carpet, where SRS control unit have its place...

    -remove rear seat (only seat, not the backrest)

    it took me bout 2.5-3hrs to do mine from start to finish.

    yeah thats realistic..i'm waiting for some red carpet here...but no one for sale....

    Thank god I sold my carpet and made a little profit. The worst $100 I spent on anything interior related.

    Here in gemrany i could order it as a new one from my dealer...there costs it about 300 Euro or ~ 450 Dollar....
