    Moved the gauges

This is how the pillar mounted gauges looked...

And seeing as I havnt used the Nitrous since the A3 days and other than the No2 gauge and a few switchs, nothing else for the nitrous system was mounted, I would remove the gauge. Another contributing factor is that as soon as a cop pulled besides me or while being pulled over, the pillar mounted gauges attracted too much attention, "Especially" the Nitrous gauge.

But that would leave a empty gauge cup on the pillar and I didnt really need any other gauge, I would move the oil pressure and coolant temp gauges down to the steering wheel pod. I bought a new pillar trim(as the original was cut and drilled for the pillar gauges) and just pulled the wiring down and up to the pod, mounted the pods and this is what I ended up with....

I actually prefer the new placement, especially in traffic. Even though the pillar gauges didnt block hardly any view at all, they did become an distraction at times. I glance down and sweep the gauges anyways so it doesnt add any time away from the road than before.

It also advertised the fact it wasnt stock.

The gauges are just Autometer PhantomI short sweep electric gauges, nothing special at all about them. The mounting cups are also from Autometer, and I got them from Summit Racing http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

very nice doug, before i put my gauges in, i bought a triple pillar pod and was about to install it. i guess i was just never a fan of the pillar mounting and luckily i had a friend (aug) do some in dash gauges. I think if i were to do anything else it would be those mounting cups, they are very nice

The gauges can be any color you can find the illumination bulb or a condom in. I may end up adding a small rheostat to adjust the intensity.

Last night a S2K owner that I haved raced in the past, decided to give it another go and I walked him as usual,,,,,He thought he had a chance seeing I had deleted the pillar gauges(he thought I went back to a stock engine) LOL fool!
