Iridiums come pre-gapped, and it's very easy to scrape off the iridium coating (or break the tip!) if you try to gap them. Just leave them at the original gap and you'll be fine.
Make sure you're using plugs 1 or 2 steps colder than stock.
searched for anything relevant but weltall is the only one who really went into gap (which he said hes using BCPR7ES plugs at a .35 gap due to price and how often hes changing them)
does anyone have any input on what gap to run?
setup is stock a3 at 10lbs getting tuned next monday going to put a fresh set in before the tune
thanks

Yes, never gap an iridium plug.
Check the gap loosely on all 4 for consistency only so that they all have close to the same gap.
If one is way off, don't use it; otherwise they are good to go.

ngk iridiums are gonna be your cheapest. you can order them at your local oreily's. bkr7eix's come pre gapped at like .042 and the 8/9's come pre gapped at like .032

Is it true that we can buy the OEM RSX-S plugs and they are one-step colder from our stock EP plugs?
I run the IK22's and just leave them at the factory gap setting. I only check for consistency as mentioned above!
i run ik22's and have to change them every 2-3 oil changes... sucks
Using the Denso Ik22's for my jrsc. Used them for about 50k boosted so far, still clean and work perfectly. No need to mess with gapping, just buy the iridiums.
