Yep, ship it to the detailer, and then don't let eating occur in your car from now on

Not sure if this would solve the problem, but I think it would help.

You could try this maybe goes through out the whole system and spreads the scent around better. Never tried it yet though.

I used to use them in my old Civic... had one under each seat with a small velcro tab on the bottom so they wouldn't tip over or slide around. Helped keep the mildew smell out from wet carpets. My ep is still VERY clean and no smells yet, that's the only reason I don't have one.

Yah, love to know what others think.

I heard of those shampooing places you put 50 cents in but don't know if its safe for our seats
my best bet is to take it to a detailer

You can try natures miracle which you can get from any pet store. It is an enzyme based cleaner and works pretty well.

I've heard about using dryer sheets and leaving them in the car. Not sure if it will work for your situation.

putting dryer sheets over the place that the oil is spilled will help soak up the smell.
The only solution i can think of is that you need to get it very hot for a long time and it'll get all the scent out.
oil scents last usually about 3 weeks without any help.

Definitely give this a try. I just potty trained two new puppies within the past year and my house would be a nightmare with this stuff

That just sux man. The oil has probably made it through to the floor board.

If it were my car I would unbolt my seats and lift the carpet enough to clean up the oil, then I'd steam clean the carpet.
Swear there ain't no Heaven and I'll pray there ain't no hell.
