pretty awesome. More reason to get a PSP... I think I'd wait til it has turn by turn. Looks slick. Better than the GPS' I've seen.

nice mangz!
you can also just download a navi system like Garmin and install it in ur PDA device and use it the same way...
i would love this. but i want turn by turn. i use my gps on my sprint phone. works amazingly. i love it. leave it to the biggest ep ballar ever to post this
another good thing about this is when your car runs out of battery
PSP is self powered so when you get lost in the middle of mountain and your car battery is out, you can simply look through PSP and find the way out
I used it for a week now
everyone who looks at it gets confused
they know its psp but they do not know its GPS :)
nice find!!!
on the side note, what kind of speedometer set up is that?!!?? looks nice.
So is the only reason you can't use this on the 1000 model PSP because of the clip or plug? The sensor should just need the mini usb connection right? Also can anyone provide a link to the gps sensor?
Kudos for this though very very awesome!
Edit: after thinking about it it may be an issue with the amount of ram the phat psp has, which is prolly why skype won't work on the phat psp's either.

That's awesome. I'm too lazy to go through the whole modding process though. Hopefully Sony does come out with a US version. I'm sure it would help boost sales, I know I'd get another one.
I'm not sure that the psp actually has to be modded.
I did some researching and it turns out the gps has been around in japan for 3 years. So this should work just fine with the phat psp. After I sell some old parts I'm going to try this. I'll update to let everyone know what kind of luck I had with an older psp.
