    USDM CTR Lip install

I just got the CTR lip from showstoppers. The fitment is pretty good, but the thing does not have any screw holes. Am I just supposed to drill these into the side?

    Should I use doublesided tape?

Is pretty straight forward. put the lip on the car, mark 1 or 2 holes on each end of the lip where it wrap into the bumper and carefully drill. the bottom of the lip should have 2 areas for you to mount screws as well. then use some self tapping screws and bolt it right on, done!

not to sound dumb. But what is a self tapping screw?

Should I use a washer? If so, metal or rubber?

a self tapping screw is sharp at one end and the threads are in a special pattern so while your turning it makes its own hole that is the perfect size...you do not need any washers with self tapping screws

without any washers? Would'nt the pressure of the screws be concentrated to one small spot and crack the fiberglass over time?

I have heard of this happening before and have read that washers were needed to distribute the pressure evenly.

i never have and never will get a fiberglass kit so im not sure about that but it seems that a washer would be a good idea since fiberglass cracks easily

yes get a washer, metal or rubber don't matter, just don't tighten the crap out of it.
