I got the bar used on ebay for a steel. Had it installed for about 9 months and didn't like the contrast of the polished aluminum in the trunk. So i pulled it out, cleaned it up, and re-polished it before sending it over to be anodized black. In my opinion it turned out better than I hoped. I think they should have come this way.

Its actually not paint. It was anodized, so the metal was essentially dyed black.

How much did u get the bar for? there is one for sale in the local craigslist for $45, is that a good price?
$45 is a good price. I got it for 35 and it was missing some of the hardware. I had to buy some bolts from the store and call neuspeed to get a set of templates for the interior trim modification and 2 of the hex screws (not standard off the shelf screws).
Sombody should hop on the $45 one then, is in the local bay area in San mateo. i just checked showstoppers and they have it for a little over 200
