you just answered your own question, if you post for the sheer fact to get your count up to sell shit, mods will delete your posts or alter your post count because you arent contributing anything by posting. I could have signed up yesterday and whored until my count was enough so sell and than rip 10 people off in a day and never come back...

it's because the administrator and site owner decided that making a forum where post counts are tracked are pretty much useless (even though it's called a forum). they are more concern with the number of post counts every user has than the over status of the forum
That person is no longer affiliated with ephatch, though.
