    Rotating tires?

I've heard that once you have rotated the tires you have to balance them? Is this correct? I know rotating tires isn't hard.... I just don't want to spend the money on it since I know it can be done by myself or whatever?

    Thanks,
    Matt

You don't need to balance them every time you rotate. I rotate tires often but only get my tires balanced if I notice wheel weights missing and if it seems like it's affecting handling or NVH.

Balancing once or twice a year for me. Rotate every other oil change at 5K intervals.

You excessive road noise is probably because your tires are getting worn a little. A rotation could help with this but not very much. I was a technician at a local honda dealer for two years, really only happens when the tires a getting worn, because of the lack of tread deapth you will notice a little more noise the more the tires wear.
