    Cutting bump stop?

    can somebody give me an explanation on why cutting the bump stop is necessary please. Thank you

    It's just so you don't hit it all the time when you lower your car.

    Some aftermarket struts reuse the stock bump stops and that is the ONLY time you should cut them.

    it's not necessary nor recommended.

    in rare circumstances [like what doug said] it may be suggested by the manufacturer of a spring co. i still wouldn't though.
