    i Have always wondered about block guards, do people run them? any problems, do they actualy help?

    K24's and K20's use the same length studs, so you will be ok there.

    thats good to hear comming from you, i know i can trust the information lol.

    I have to shop for some gaskets today and im going to get a new timing chain, the rest of the pieces ill steal off one of my other k24's

    I got my block in to work today stock it in a duffel bag and walked to the bus with it, now my arms are brused from the weight of the straps, we took a pole at work guessing how much the block weighed( just the cyl's not the bottom girdle) and Deb our receptionist got it, she guessed 47 and it was 46.808lb's so not a bad guess. I let it soak in the parts washer all day and i cleaned it up after work, i also sandblasted the bottom girdle and it looks sexy.

    Forgot to grab the paint i was going to spray my block with, a nice flat black with a red valve cover should look nice id say? i started working on shaveing my valvecover to paint last night and ill work on it more tonight.

    i got my h beam rods in today i need to bring the crank in and then check the bearing clearances

    My pistons/ head gasket/ head studs/ are in but there at fed ex, because the last 2 days the Fed ex guy hasnt left me a door tag or even knocked, i was actualy home when they tried to deliver(which is never the case) but i should be able to pick them up before work today so if im lucky ill try to snag some pictures to throw up
