All the models I see for the ep3 look a little soft in the spring rates for track days.....imo

I put this togather on another ep fourm....

I think you would be happier with spring rates in the 9-10k ft and 14-16k.....A lot of the crsx guys have been very happy with the BC rsd's.....If you are taking the leap for coilovers, think about getting the dc5 ones so you can upgrade to the bigger tierod ends.

I have the Tanabe Pro S-S Type II coilovers. I'm an autocross guy and the rates are very soft. Not much stiffer then stock so it rides very nice. The coilovers offer a desent damper from KYB Japan, so if they blow, they are fixable/ revalveable. Since they were too soft I consulted with Tanabe USA and ended up getting 400lbsinch front-675lbs/inch rear springs from Eibach. This setup is decent but I'm going to upgrade next season. Good luck, they were great for daily driving though, and can drop your car low. IVe had them for 17,000 miles with zero problems, and currently have about 1000 miles and 10 or so auto cross runs on them with the upgraded springs with no problems thus far also.

Thank, i'm considering the bd racinf spec damper(10K/H180 16K/H150 ) and the tanabe sustech pro s-oc(6.0 frt and 8.0 rear). I tend more one the tanabe because of the price but i dont whant to be a low baller on my setup..

The buddy clubs offer a mono tube shock that is way better performance wise compared to the twin tube shock type in the Tanabe. If you really are going to track and autocross your car definatly go with the Buddy clubs. This is not to say that the Tanabe's are crappy, i know they are not because i have them, but the performance you would get for the price of the buddyclub RSD's are on another level when compared to the tanabe product. If you want a stiff ride that if very track orientated go with the RSD;s. If you want a comfy ride and the ability to go low, get the tanabes.

there is a different shock in the RSD's that is better quality and better damping characteristics because it is a monotube shock. Also the spring rates are stiffer in the RSD's 10k-f/16k-r. Might be a difference in the pillow ball mount on the RSD's but im not sure.
