my hood is is vented 1/4 inch and i removed the rubber inside. i bent the part of the fender that scrapes so i dont have scraping problems. imho, it doesnt look wrecked since it's just 1/4 inch. after a long day of driving, i can feel heat coming out of the "vent" when i put my hand on top of it. but again, to each is his own...

i know what you mean but it was very minimal. i just used my fingers and pulled from the outside. i dont see anything wrong with that.

CorSport has them. Like 30 bucks or something. I think it looks cool.

Not exactly. That setup doesn't drop under hood temps any more than stock. A better, functional version that's R&D* tested would deliver a significant advantage over stock or "for looks only" mod.

Sure this may help during idling but thats it . If its just a look you like then go for it.

This is can be backed up by tests done by members of many other forums. Its due to air pressure pockets created interrupting the air pressure under the hood. (search these places for more info - supraforums, 240sxforums, rx7club, etc)
