Need some good advice....

Here's the deal...I want to lower my car for suspension and handling reasons, plus with the rims I have, I think it would look pretty good...Anyway, here's my question, how low can I safely go with just springs without having to buy a camber kit? I don't want to put wear and tear on my tires if I don't have too, and I know lowering it too much will do it. Any advice?

Here's the deal( your words), you would be far better off getting a set of ft camber bolts and not touching the ride hight for handleing.....lower your car more than a inch and you will have a understeering pig with out rollcenter correctors.....sorry if this is not the reply you want, but dumpped ep3's are slow.

Remember this list...

1. Driver
2. Tires
3. Alignmetn
4. Dampers
5. Springs & anti-roll bars
6. Bushings & chassis braces..

Its in order from most influential to least in regards to handling performance.

So given that, getting a camber kit so you can get a good alignment on the car should be a high priority. Just like Not lowering the car with out a good set of dampers.

get the HFP kit that stoop is selling in the vendor section.

while it is a good idea to get a camber kit, its not 100% necessary. the HFP kit only drops you 1", so it doesn't throw your camber way off. i have the HFP kit without a camber kit. would i like a camber kit? sure, but i have other things to pay for.

Sounds good to me, I was told that if the car was lowered more than 2", that a camber kit was pretty much mandatory. You're right, I don't have the money, I just spent it all buying the car!!! Just dreaming I guess.

How hard are you going to drive your car and how often are you going to replace your tires? If you are going with something like the RT615s and are only expecting ~12,000 miles out of them then I wouldn't worry about a camber kit for handling.

Are you going to autocross or track it? If not, go with the Eibach Sportlines and a good strut/shock combo.

I raised my car back to stock to be competitive in HS autocross and I hate how it looks, but it does handle pretty darn well in that config.

If you hate "wheel gap" so much, get some 17x7 wheels and run some 225/45-17's....they are 3/4th of a inch larger than stock and fill in the gap nicely.

And you'll get better highway millage too! at the expense of a bit of acceleration performance...

yea, your odometer will loose about 6 miles per 100....or 60 per 1000......
