15" work equips look too small??

hey guys just looking for some opinions... would 15" work equips would look too small on a nhbp dropped maybe 1.75-2 inches??? the work equips are gold with polish lip 15x7 +38 offset and i am definitely considering on getting these but to me they would look small on our cars.... oh yeah, these wheels would be my dd for the summer next year.. open to comments... thanks :mgrin:

well i don't want to be slammed because i live in northern VA and they have some of the worst roads and backroads... there's a member on here with work equips (white ep3) and was really slammed but it still looked to small on his car... maybe it's in my head, but since my car being black maybe it won't look too small... b/c with our stock rims and our car being dropped a little bit, it doesn't look small at all... maybe it's just the style of our stock rims (02-03) that is

if you're keepin the huge tires it wont look too bad
but why would you want 60 profile tires, horrible handling.

anything less than 16 looks bad on ours cars IMO
    16 with a 55 series tire or 17 with a 45-50 is perfect
17 with a 45-50 is my favorite though, just looks good, car looks more lowered than it is, etc.

the numbers you are referring to are the aspect ratio of the tire and will change depending on the section width. so that means that i can have a 225/50/15 and a 205/50/15 and the two sidewalls will be different heights. and, a taller sidewall does not mean bad handling, in fact a tire with more sidewall will be more forgiving.

to the op, i think 15's look great on eps with a little less sidewall. 205/50/15 looks perfect but you have to be really low to make the wheels look proportionate to your car. check out bdooley and ep3civic2nrs eps. both running 15s with a lower profile tire, and both look really good imo.

if you dont want to go that low then a 17 or 16 looks better.

I used to have 45's on the ep with a 205 tire, then i got 55's with a 205 tire and the handling was severely worse.
the tire rolls on the sidewall and it feels less precise. I prefer a small sidewall, less flex.

unless it was the same tire in different sizes, there will be other variables. you are right though, for the most part a lower profile tire will feel more direct and give the drive more feedback, but feedback and overall tire responsiveness is dependent on many variables, besides sidewall hight...

I have 205/50/15 on my Rota GT3 and it looks great when the car is slammed, but going over speed bumps and driveways sucks. When the car is raised back up I don't think it looks very good and would recommend 16s or 17s.
