is it true our usdm seats are the same as the type r's except the type r says type r on it? and is it true that our usdm seats are made by recaro?

^ yea that....and since there were so few jdm type-r ep3's, they are impossible to find....you want type-r recaros, you will most likely end up with the dc5 type-r's...

I believe you may be correct on this but they are nowhere near as comfortable or supportive as the type r recaros.
