i have had my ep for a couple of years, and i want to get rid of the god awful pin striping put on by the dealership. the stipes go down both sides, are a quarter of an inch thick...and look horrible. im wondering if i can just get rid of the using paint thinner, but i dont want to screw up the black paint underneath. any advise? i dont want to pay the cash to get the car re-painted if i dont have too...any DIY's??? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!

Same here a body shop took them off real quick can barely tell they were even there, there is a slight ghost pin stripe from the faded paint around the pin stripe but you can barely tell

    .

heat gun...or blow dryer. and a razor blade(just to get a tip up) then just continue useing the heat gun and peeling. then goo-be-gone it and a quick wash and your done.

When i don't have access to air lines i use a heat gun.

If you don't have a heat gun a blow dryer will do the same thing but don't hold it too close or too long in one spot or you can warp the panel.

And you can use any type of adhesive remover to take the tape residue off.

im pretty sure its painted on, i cant check right now because im deployed in iraq...but if it were paint, how would i get it off cleanly? i've tried scratching at it before, and it was dull and didnt want to come up.
