06 SI Trans

A freind of mine that works at honda has 2 06 SI trannies that need 3rd gear replacments. How do i go about getting these to work in the EP, is the VSS of the same frequency?

No the VSS for the new Si uses a high Freq, same as later typeS's.

You will need to either drill the case for the VSS or break it down and install the guts into your 5speed trans case.

well if the 3rd gear needs replaced why even bother?

If you have kpro, cant you just set the vss frequency? I know there is an option for it, but its always greyed out and I never touched it.

There is also an issue with the shifter assembly as well on the FG2's trans case

i think the best looking option here would be swapping its guts into your ep trans case

iirc the shift linkage on the k20z3 tranny is backwards.
