    How do you remove the black gaurd aroun the front wipers by the hood?

    mine needs to be painted and cleaned due to previous owner run in with rubbing compound or wax one or the other. I would like to pull it off for some paint.

    Good idea, May also be easier to remove the hood and then tape off areas and paint it like that ....how heavy is the hood... can it be removed and replace with just one person?

    You would have to remove the hood anyways to remove that plastic piece, cant get a removal tool on the drivers side wiper with the hood on. It can be done with one person, I have done it. Make sure to place some heavy padding under the ends of the hood during removal and install. Remove the hood from the brackets.

    I need to remove mine, one the passenger side where it goes to rubber a damn mouse chewed it up and I need to replace the rubber :(
