Resprayed my VC the other day and added a retaining spring for the dipstick. Enjoy!

Agreed with dirtyMETHOD, that color looks great. Its what the USDM OEM covers should have looked like.

I didnt clear it at all, like I said before after I layed the base I was going to wetsand and clear it but I liked the raw metallic finish. I didnt want it to be super glossy and showy.

Thanks dude, I agree. I was actually considering painting it the OEM silver color before I found this. I wanted the VC to not be the focal point of the bay like my yellow one was.

What do you want the focal point to be? I feel like my bay is a little too busy. But I love my Type-R cover. I've been considering trading my ARC box for a Mugen box, I think that'd help tone things down a bit.

Nothing imparticular, I guess is my idea. I want the overall cleanliness and small touches to be noticed more than just a valve cover. Anyone cant paint a nice VC ya know? Also I feel like its reminiscent of the Realtime cars...

Good point. I was looking at the pictures and taking in everything, I think it looks pretty prime right now. I like the Spoon oil cap against the new color especially. The dress up bolts look kick ass too. Any plans for an intake down the road?

Yeah theres still alot I want to do to clean up the bay and theres alot of new stuff in the works. Nothing major but it will be pretty badass nonetheless. Im actually working on a custom airbox right now. The mold is in very early stages so I dont see it being done anytime soon but its something to look forward to!
