Comin home from work:
Thought I had heard some whining or whizzing coming while I went down the hill.
Getting on the highway was fine, but then felt a drag effect on the right front tire. I thought it was odd and that alerted me to the grinding noise that came after, sounding like an axel was draggin on the floor. I stopped. Checked. Nothing, I was in a very bad blind spot and so I decided to start her up and move her off the highway more. Started ok, I threw it in gear and let clutch go and the whole time she'd be grinding a bit. even when idle, a crunchy wobby sound was coming from the motor. The car was moving when it just died. I shut everything down and pulled over in a safer spot.
NOW: Oil looks good, Tranny fluid good, Pulled Valve cover and everything looks ok, the motor turns but its very hard to turn. I'll be documenting everything video and still shot for site content. I have no idea whats up yet but thought I'd seek advise of the fellowship.
Thanks in advance.
Plan: Pull it apart again and separate the tranny and motor to see which is being hung. (hoping the tranny ?) The Car is currently sitting next to a boat. I don't have a lift so this is going to be fun.. sigh.
