can a reflashed stock ecu (PNF) run k20a2

sorry guys I searched but couldn't find anything.. I just bought a low milage K20a2 engine for my car for real cheap. Is it possible to run a k20a2 hondata reflash map on my stock PNF ecu for the k20a2 motor. I'm looking to add a few hp without going all out. I will also be using my stock 5 speed transmission. I dont have the funds to get k-pro yet. PLZ help

if I use a prb ecu what will I need to do to keep my immobilizer....also I have been told that I have to run a k20a2 primary oxygen sensor to make this work... is this correct

You need to synch the ecu to the imobalizer at Honda. No, the o2 sensors function the same, RSX just has longer wires

I just installed the k20a2 engine 2 days and it runs ok on the ep3 PNF ecu.... I drove it around and the check engine light come on reading that I was running rich. Is ok to run this set up for a few days until I get the type S PRB ecu (i'll keep it under 4000rpm) ....also other than fouling my spark plugs are there any issues of running rich.....I know folks would rather run rich than lean coz running lean is bad for your engine especially the piston rings

Please don't do this. Take the bus, or ride your bike. Driving that car is an awful idea.

You can get a Type S ecu for like $150 to $200.00 then another 90 bucks to have the Immobilzer reprogramed.

You didn't spend all that money to blow up that motor running an ECU made to control 270cc injectors, that now has 310's in it. 3 lobe Vtec, 1.2 Points higher compression!!!!! so your ignition will be super hgh, I'm sure everytime you start it up the ECU is getting Punched in the back of the head with knock, and it's retarding the ignition to zero.

You could also end up Kililng the O2 sensor, they only cost 200 dollars to replace.

To rich will cause Cylinder wash, That is where the Fuel washes away all the Oil on your Cylinder walls leaving Metal to metal ring contact.

thanks guys.... i'll park it and use my other car.

Where can I get a type S ecu for $150-$200... everywhere I look they go for $300 to $350

I'd hate to get one for $350 then have it programmed for another $100.... for a total of almost $500..... rediculous price just to run stock.

I'd rather wait a few more weeks and add a few $$$ and get the fully programmable k-pro

I'll find one for you. Then you can send your ECU to Hondata to get done, and not have any more down time.
To bad you can't run a 05 ecu. I have one of those.......
