    Steering Rack Issues...

So my steering rack has a clunking noise when you turn back in forth and shakes when you brake over 40 mph, that is diagnosed. Is their a way to fix it without replacing the rack? Also, if I do have to get a new rack, where is the cheapest place to get one? Thanks.

i have not heard of these problems with the steering rack.. Maybe you have warped rotors. that will cause the shakes and could need new pillowball mounts on your struts.. that will cause the clunkiing

I had the same thing with my breaks when i would hit the brakes over 40 mph and it was my rotors. So get them replaced and that should be fixed. Now the clunking problem not sure bout that.

When you turn the wheel back in forth you can hear a clunking like noise come from the steering rack. Like there's play inside the rack.
