Check out what I did to these camber arms...

This happened after a weekend track event (WMHM9) three days after I had them professionally aligned.
Rear:
-0.5 camber
0.1 toe

Obviously I wasn't aware at the time that a harder mount would have been better, but to have the bushing slide apart like this? I'm underwhelmed...

These are the Ingall's, rubber version.

I wondered why the rear end was squeaking as I was leaving the event, thought maybe the rear roll bar bushings needed some lube. Got home to take a look, and the inside of both bushings were pushed up against the car body. I sent Ingall's an e-mail informing them of the issue, haven't gotten anything back in 8 months. Guess I'll send them the pics, not like they'll do anything about it.

Edit: Yeah a 90 day warranty. Problem is, I didn't install them till it was almost over.

Heh, here's my reply from them:

"The rings are only there to keep the bars from moving during shipping. They will hold the movement during normal loads but can not maintain under racing type braking loads. The arm sliding over will not cause any problems with the alignment and does not keep the arm from functioning correctly.

Push the bar out, lubricate and reinsert the bar back into the bushing and put back in the car."

F that. I've already bought and installed the Skunk2 arms with c-clip retainers on both sides. Guess it pays to do your research.

I'm sure they'd be great if you never tracked your car, ever. If you did, you'd be be pulling them off to slide this bar back in place every time (or dealing with that annoying squeaking it makes rubbing up against the rear mounts). After getting the bar out of the bushing, I can see that it is urethane (not rubber), but there's no lube in it at all. Oh well.

The Energy Suspension rear control arm bushings aren't like this are they (not held in place by anything)?
