CTR rear sway.... bracket doesn't fit over the new larger bushing.

Trying to install a CTR rear sway however the stock bushing brackets don't fit over the new larger bushings.

From my searching you're suppose to reuse the brackets right? How tight is it suppose to fit?

Anyone have the part # for the sway bar bushing?

I can't really guide you in the installation, but I had my CTR rear sway installed yesterday and all I showed up with was the bar, new end links (corsport) and the OEM bushings included with the bar. Shop mentioned nothing about hitting a snag with it.

Pretty sure they sent me the wrong bushings..... they have no chance in fitting. See the pics below.

The bushings I have were packaged (they had been opened when i received them) as oem CTR bushings..... which are suppose to fit the oem USDM bushing brackets, which they do not.

I realize I can buy the ES bushings and use them but I'd like to just get the proper CTR bushings assuming they work.

That is the right bushing. You need to get a bigger bracket the stock one will NOT fit the one needed for the CTR bushing. Get the Energy suspension ones.

bought ctr bar from ebay... came with no bushings... went to acuraautomotiveparts.ORG... looked up 03 rsx-type-s---- under "rear arm" from the parts list, I grabbed the brackets (4.23 a piece) and bushings (3.90 a piece) for the 19mm bar. The fit is tight but definately usable with the 22mm bar... your oem option

How big is the CTR bar? I got my DC5R rear sway the other day and it came with two OEM bushings that look just like yours above except the sidewall of the bushing is thinner to allow for the larger bar (22mm). They will fit with the stock bracket. If you like I can get you the part number off of one of the bags. Let me know.

Ordered up the ES bushings..... what a pain in the ass.

If I knew this before I would have just ordered the DC5R sway bar. Oh well, LOL.

Wow, dude, sorry about your luck. I recall using my stock brackets with the bushings that came with my CTR rear sway... good luck with the new bracket. If you don't mind, you should post up the part number and your comments on fit when you get them.

That is strange that the stock brackets don't fit. I have the DC5 ITR 22mm rear sway on mine and fit it fine with my stock brackets and the bushings it shipped with.

I was going to order bushings from ES but it said it was for the 15mm which i believe is stock. I just bought a swift rear sway bar and i believe it is a 23mm. Not too sure if that would work out. Any suggestions?? Would i need a new bracket and end links also??

I'd buy some new end links, might as well your stock ones are probably done by now.
