take off and clean the iacv ( idel air control valve ) the same thing happened to me its under the TB and its probley just gunked up with shit gl
Okay, so i left my car sitting for a week, ( waited for suspension parts) then when I go for a test drive, my car is idling from 1k-2.5k. I had something like this happen before, and it went away the next day. But this was different. While I was waiting to pull out into the highway, my idle sat @ 2K rpm and the CEL came on.
Does anyone know what it could be? I checked the engine oil, and its good. I was checking the intake box, just in case a sensor fell out or something. Damn, from a small suspension bushing, to an engine problem,,blaahhhh

I would agree its probably the iac I had the same problem a few weeks ago and a good cleaning solved the problem. Here's the link for the How to I used. Its a great write up, with pics and will save you from stripping out the screw heads.

When you get it out spin it with a drill and spray wd40. I have not had a problem since then. 2 years now i think.

Before you start taking things off, you should check the check engine light code first.
I'm surprised no one said this.
thx for the input guys! Earlier during the day, I took the car out for a drive to town ( about 20 mile drive) then my car started working fine lol. I swear, my car has its off/weird days....
