    K24A2 Swap Questions

I'm going to have a K24A2 swapped in my EP3. I want to use my JRSC off my K20A3 and was wondering what needs to be done to get it to fit. Should I use the EP3 crank pulley or the K24 one? I'm planning on going with a Maxbore 70mm TB and all I need is the karcepts adapter plate correct?

I'm going to be running a either a FX400 or Comp Stage 4 clutch with a K20A2 flywheel with the 5 spd tranny. This hsould all bolt together without issue correct?

I know I need to get the CRV passenger side mount and was going to order the innovative 60A driver side and rear mounts and they should fit without issue correct?

I was running the K20A3 with the JRSC race kit (Kpro, 440s, 3.7 pulley)

    My mod list will be:

    K24A2
JRSC (Trying to run 10psi - I have the RSX 2.5 idler puller already - This will be ported and port matched to the Maxbore TB)
    CRV Passenger side mount
Innovative Billet 60A Driver Side and Rear Motor Mounts
    Hondata IMG
Maxbore TB with Karcepts Adapter Plate
CM FX400 or Comp Stage 4 Clutch with K20A2 resurfaced stock flywheel
    Injen/AEM 2.5' CAI
    RC Engineering 650cc injectors
    Kpro
    JRRH
    AEM Meth Kit

I will be selling my Tande Super Medallion Exhuast so I can go with a 3' exhuast along with my AEM CAI (2.25 Piping) and my 440cc injectors.

Also any suggestion on cams? I'm trying to get 320-340whp out of this setup (a longshot but with meth I think I can pull it off).

Thanks for the help! I searched but its hard to find all this information in one place thats orginized

Also if I cannot reach my power goal I will be selling the JRSC charger and brackets with the 2.5' idler pulley and go turbo (GT3071R running 12-14psi on Meth).

    Thanks!

You will likely need an aftercooler and methanol injection to get those power numbers. Stg1 or Type R cams would likely allow you to reach those type of numbers.

Not with that 2.25 intake. IMO Try custom 3.5" or bigger

Well I had a change of heart. I'm going to pull off and sell all my S/C stuff.

I've decided to go K24A1 w K20A2 head, peakboost mani, peakboost dp, custom fmic, and a gt3071r. Hopefully I can make 350-400whp on pump gas with 750cc injectors and a walbro fp.

I'm planing on rnning 10-14psi. I will reaplace the sotck HG with another OEM one and add ARP headstuds. I'm going with the GT3071R because I want a quick spooling DD. I'm pulling the parts of the car soon and will have them listed here for sale.

This route is the simplest route for the power I want to make. What would an EP3 trap in the 1/4 mile with 350-400whp?

don't forget to buy forged pistons and h-rods. I "think" that the k24 walls are strong enough to hold boost, but the rods arent strong enough, so while the engine is out of the car, you should get some rods and pistons. Don't go anything bigger than a gt40r, cuz it'll take too much time to pick up. gt30r should be more than enough.

Unnecessary. Stock rotating assembly is perfectly fine at 400whp.

I thought it was only 300whp for the k24a1. If so, hahahaha. But what caused people to blow their engine? throw a rod...

Bad tuning? Hell, Guardian is rocking 530whp in his k24a1/a2 and has been for quite a while. I haven't heard of any k24a1's blowing up, so I don't know what you're basing these assumptions on.

people always say that the rod are only good to 300whp. maybe thats only the a3. we have to exclude guardian. there's something evil about his setup. i'm serious. This has been unheard(at least from me) until the k-world.

There have been A3's over the 300whp limit, there really isn't a magical number at which the motor implodes, it's usually a combination of things. Not to take any credit from Guardian, but 500whp on a stock rotating assembly isn't unheard of. There's a stock K24A4 on K20a.org that made over 500whp.
