Even with that high of an offset, your gonna need to stretch, camber, defiantly roll to get them close to tucking. Thats pretty wide.
will this set up work for my rears in my 03 ep without doing alot of work to it...sorry in advance tried to research but im a complete idiot when it comes to stance.

Use a wheel offset calculator:

I had 17x7.5+50 and on the rears it rubbed on the inside of the wheel well and rear suspension. Comparing those to the 9.5+40 they will stick 15mm further inside the wheel well so you're screwed. The outside fender clearance would be no problem.
U think u drive an s2k? Lol. But yeah, its going to run on the suspension.
Hmmm, looks like your gonna be rolling VIP style then, those guys buy crazy wide rims and do major work to make them fit along with crazy camber. Plus 18's are big for the EP and you are going to have to already run a small stretched tire just to get close to flush, your gonna be going through tires monthly. I've seen EP's on here (nyquill) being a really good example of making things fit and look awesome and he's running a 17x9 out back with i think +14 and he's at like -5 camber. I woud suggest selling and getting another set of rims. If you really like the rims you got and want to run wide out back, sell those and get 17's in the same size. Other advice is find a good body guy and pull the F out of that fender or cut and add flares.
thanks for the input but i think ima just gunna try and make this thing work.
i guess ill post up my progress on trying to get the rears fit so for future reference people can see what they need to do to get these to fit.
pics of test fitting the wheels to see what i need to do
looks like ima get some 15mm spacers a camber kit and roll/hammer out the fender.
Does it hit the rear trailing arm too? My 17's were all over the trailing arm at the bottom, but no rubbing on the suspension or gastank.
Do you have any pictures showing how much it pokes out?
